I have a 3 1/2 year old boy who is my life, and unfortunately he lives in washington with his mom. My son definitely comes first, and everything else second. I decided to give this a shot because I've found it extremely hard to meet people as a single dad with a full time career.
I'm not into the bar/club scene, as I feel I've outgrown that stage in my life. This doesn't mean that I wouldn't be willing to take a date out dancing if that's what she really wanted to do, I just don't browse them to try to meet new people. Most of my friends consider me the class clown, and I love to laugh. I love stand up comedy, my yankees, the dolphins, and my college football team the boise state broncos. I'm confident, spontaneous and adventurous both in life and in the bedroom. I'm a masculine man but at the same time can be very sensitive and at times emotional. I'm very straight forward with my feelings, emotions, thoughts, and expectations. I understand how important it is to have time with your significant other, time for yourself, time with your friends, and time out with your significant other and friends as a group. I'm not a materialist and would rather save money to take trips to different places around the world to experience other cultures, art, architecture, and history. I love learning languages and currently, other than English, am practically fluent in Spanish, know a little German as well as Albanian and Serbo-Croatian.

I'm looking for a woman who will spend an evening cooking with me in the kitchen and if dinner gets burned because we get distracted by each other, we'll order in. She must be confident in her skin and sexuality, must be open, honest and communicate her feelings well, she must be emotionally mature and not hold things in until it all comes out in a barrage at one time. I need someone, that like me, is willing to tackle feelings and emotions as they arise and make sure they are resolved rather than say it's okay and the same issues keep coming up. She must, like me, want to put into the relationship as much as she expects to get back, as I really feel it takes the efforts of both to build a strong relationship. I want someone who is adventurous, spontaneous, and that is okay with just staying in and watching a scary movie, a comedy, or even a romcom as yes I'm a closet romcom fan (50 first dates one of my favorites). She must want to travel and be interested in learning about other cultures, traditions, art, and customs.
Well, I guess that's enough, probably too much, but through my experiences I think I have a good idea of the qualities in a woman that would keep me happy and interested. If this sounds like you then drop a line and we can take it from there.

Night Skies above are black as coal,
Mirroring, what once was heart and soul.
Stars glimmer, glisten, separated recklessly,
Shadows creep through a surrounding mist sea.
Breezes flow cold like regret through veins,
Blood pulses, feeding deepest pains.
Lonely, lost, thoughts clogging the mind,
Oh, if one could only turn back hands of time.
Destination unknown, continuing to aimlessly roam,
Destined to never return to what was once home.

Love’s Vicious Circle

Before light shown down from above,
Bitter, hateful, skeptical the concept of love.
Compassion, desire, an illusion at best,
Previous pains put emotion to rest.
Your presence subtly revealed,
Scars Illuminated and healed.
Bright, hot, burning intense like fire,
Drenched and smothered,
Forced to retire.
Again crushed, devastated to lose his best friend,
Wounds reopened, never to mend.
Not moving forward, drawn to the past,
Uncomprehending how it happened so fast.
Regretting a chance was never given,
Life without love, a life not liven.

The Gaze

Iridescent irises illuminating icy illusions,
Penetrating deeper than sunrays on flesh,
Burning hotter than the depths of hell,
Knowing this frightening gaze too well.
Lips clinched tighter than a vice,
Teeth grinding, nostrils flared,
Cheeks rosy, a cruel glare.
Heart sinking down a perilous abyss,
A terrifying look of dismiss.
Barriers arise hastily, solid as steel,
Walls impenetrable no matter how low the kneel.
Emotion evaporates eliminating all ecstasy,
No longer the desire to lie next to me.
