I'm not your typical guy. I've been a Marine, a scientist, a writer (of sorts), and an executive. I'm a numbers guy who knows that there’s a hell of lot more to life than numbers. I'm financially conservative, socially liberal. I’m very active and athletic. I make a good living, but my favorite meal is still either pizza or cheeseburgers. While I think I take myself too seriously, I’m always the first guy to crack a joke in a tense situation.

For the most part I’ve got hair where a man should, and don’t where he shouldn’t (with only a little help). I can grow a full beard in a week and hold my breath under water for a minute and a half. I’ve been told I’m a nerd. I’ll admit that I graph everything, but still refuse to accept it.

Things you’ll never find me doing include clubbing, wearing an Affliction T-shirt, spiking my hair, getting a pedi-mani or pretending to be someone I’m not.

Things you’ll find me doing include loving, teaching, and protecting my two wonderful daughters while I’m lucky enough to have them with me (2-3 days/Week). Otherwise, I'm pretty happy standing in a stream, hiking, running down the road or trail, biking, grilling chicken, playing rock band while wearing Docs, or reading in bed. Given the right company, I’m also fond of watching thunderstorms, cuddling up for a movie, and holding hands, and cooking a romantic meal.

I’m a romantic. I believe in True Love. I also believe is far rarer than most people think and don’t expect it to be perfect and without issues to overcome. The difference is how you handle those problems. Mutual respect, caring about your partner’s needs as much as your own, having open honest communications and working to a common goal works.

So who’s my True Love? She smart, attractive, independent and fit (thin and/or athletic). She’s honest and trustworthy. She is my best friend and sometimes drinking buddy. She’s quick to listen and slow to judge. She’s 80% angle, 20% devil. She’s not perfect, but neither am I (and some days even less so that others).

PS: Drama queens, princesses, and gold diggers need not apply. Tomboys, girly girls, and powerful women welcome.

While its not my ideal first date, I really like the idea of a pre-date. Meet for a cup of coffee, a glass of wine, etc. You just hear so much about people not being who they claim. As for me, what you see is what you get. I’m not perfect, but I’m pretty happy with who I am.
