I have been divorced long enough to know that life as a single person can have it's advantages. On the other hand, I miss having a ready companion to spend time with and share adventures. I miss having someone special in my life who calls or texts me in the middle of the day just to say he misses me, or he looks forward to being together again. I would like to find a man who has a good life as a single, but is also searching for a companion for a monogamous relationship-not necessarily leading to marriage. I'd just like to spend quality time together for as long as we can. I'm not dead yet, and I intend to make the most out of my life until I am!!

First dates should aim to be brief, but hope to be longer if you "click" with the person you're meeting. I think meeting for a drink at a coffee place or a quiet bar is a good way to start out. If you don't hit it off, it's a short investment of time. But, if you do hit it off, there's always the opportunity to take a walk together or continue talking over lunch/dinner.
One of the more unique first dates I've had was meeting at the Botanical Center. There were paths leading through beautifully landscaped areas and benches on which we could sit to visit. It was nice and definitely memorable.
