Hello :) Until I really feel the urge to write a whole bunch, I'm just going to make a list of those four things they list in red above the text box to write this. I assure you, I'm usually a pretty conversational, creative typist!

1. I really like to play games. Board games, video games, mind games... (kidding with that last one). I just bought Arkham Horror, and I'm looking for people who are interested in getting together from time to time to play. It's a pretty long game, but it's really neat. I'm also looking to possibly join a D&D group. I feel like I *should* play, especially as a Statistics major. I also like other games that take some thought, like Settlers of Catan and Puerto Rico, as well as games that are just plain silly or fun, like Fluxx and Munchkin.

I dance. Swing dancing, blues, contra dancing, flailing and waving about in my room on my own... it's all fun. If I could, I would go out partner-dancing every night. It can get a little expensive, though, so I try to just go once or twice a week.

I'm a secular humanist, atheist, universalist, POPE, and pastafarian. I don't take religion very seriously, except when people try to shove it down my throat or mix it in with politics, and then I just get annoyed. I'm open to dating people of any religion, as long as I don't have to convert.

I play piano pretty well, guitar pretty badly, and I like to sing, too. I'm really good at music theory, but I don't do much with it these days. I used to teach piano and voice, but now that I'm back in school, I just wait tables for extra cash.

2. I have a lot of things I'd like to do, and if I listed them all here, I'd be typing all night. Short term, I'd like to finish my degree. I plan to graduate in May. Longer term, I plan to either become an actuary, go to grad school, or follow whatever opportunities present themselves after I graduate. That may include teaching English in a foreign country for a while if my situation allows for it.

I'd really like to travel. A lot. I have a terribly wonderful feeling of wanderlust in my gut, and I don't think it'll ever go away.

Lately, I've also been working on being healthier. I mostly cook and eat at home. I like knowing what goes into my food and working to create what will nourish me. If you're nice, I'll cook for you, too. :)

3. What makes me unique? I think I've got it covered with the first two things... We'll go with personality traits, I guess.

I tend to be outgoing and friendly, unless I get awkward vibes from someone. In that case, I back off and become reserved.

Despite what you may get from this long collection of phrases, I really like to listen to people talk about their thoughts, their past, their interests, and their lives. Please, tell me more.

I tend to be very accepting, tolerant, and laid-back, but I'm definitely not a pushover.

4. When it comes to music, I like the good kind. I don't stick to any one genre or sound. Some stuff I really like: They Might Be Giants, Tom Waits, Ben Folds, The Decemberists/Tarkio, The Mountain Goats, Peggy Lee, John Rutter and the Cambridge Singers, Stars, Beirut, Lady GaGa, musicals, bluegrass, punk, pop, folk, blues... and lots of others.
