In my spare time I like to travel internationally, go boating or to any big sporting event and am an avid reader.

I love to cook, especially breakfast-brunch. My dinner skills are adequate, too, though. Additionally, I enjoy cuddling up to a nice movie or going out with that special someone. I rarely go to nightclubs in LA, however, every-now-and-then I'll come across something i like. I guess the club scene got old for me or I got too old for the club scene. Although LA is a pretty big city, there really aren`t many clubs for young professionals and it seems like the same people are always there. Plus, it seems like women are more receptive at places other than clubs. Clubs force men to be very aggressive, and I'm pretty laid back, so it's not really my scene. I much prefer to go to a house party-picnic-bbq where I can hang out and play spades or chess as well as dance a little. I have a very huge sense of humor and enjoy cracking jokes and making people laugh. I can be very sarcastic at times...but I usually wait until I know someone pretty well before I bring it out.

I don`t have a wife or girlfriend (and would be foul for posting a personals ad if I did). As for my reasons for an ad...I figure I might be able to meet someone I can connect with and or network. While I`d like to find someone who I can eventually settle down with, I believe people have to hang out for a bit and really get to know each other before getting into a committed relationship.

Sometimes it will happen and sometimes it won`t...for various reasons. One thing I've learned is not to force things...that never works. As for my preference in women: I prefer women who keep themselves in great shape. Excellent hygiene is a must! I'm a fool for pretty eyes, long natural hair curly or straight and a beautiful smile! I have and will continue to date without color lines until I find that special someone or she finds me. ;-) I like women who have a good sense of humor, intelligence, moral values, integrity, ambition, goals, and those who are self reliant. Basically I want someone who wants something out of life and isn`t afraid to go get it.

Have I dated women who were not within my preferences?...Yes. The problem with that is that it usually doesn't go anywhere and I'd at least like for there to be a long-term option. But as they say, "You never know..."
