I would like to start off a relationship as friends, support, companion for outings, dinners, possibly progress to travel and more. Someone trustworty, loyal, even-tempered, secure in themselves and with life, as I am. My family and friends are very important in my life, my daughter, son and daughter-in-law, and my 2 year old granddaughter. My kids are grown, ... it's time to think about me. My friends are long-term, we have been close for over 20 years. I do enjoy being at home, and can always find ways to keep busy, but I like to get out also. I have various hobbies, and am trying new things now. I tried golf lessions and a beginner league this summer, loved it. Let's just say, I have a lot of room to improve. I'm trying country line dancing lessions, for fun and exercise. I'm back in a bowling league, I bowled for 2 years and missed a couple years. You can tell I've been away, but I'm having fun with it. Those are the new interests, but the standby has always been gardening and landscaping around my home, I intend to take Master Gardener course at URI this February. Also love decorating and making my home look nice, including sewing to decorate. I self-taught quilting and made 1 this past winter, plan to make another one during those long, cold nights. I really enjoy kayaking, and own 3 of difference sizes, uses. I belong to RICKA, Rhode Island Canoe & Kayak Club, and Blackstone Valley Paddlers. I love it. I'm also exploring some walking & low-key local hiking clubs for the fall. I love antique shops, and yard sales. Really enjoy camping, but recently sold my RV. Need a partner for that, it wasn't much fun on my own, and I'd like to own one again. I rarely miss a Pats game, and although Sox/Yankees are all I make a point to watch, I catch a few Sox games and always know where they stand. I walk for exercise, typically 4 miles, 4 times a week. I need first a friend, companion, travel partner, finally ... mate.

A first date, let's meet for coffee. Start there. Maybe dinner next, a Sunday drive to get to know each other better, ending at a restaurant if it's clicking.
