About me-

I like to get out and do things, whether it is mountain biking, hiking, skiing, going up the coast, or to the city (to name a few), and I am always looking for new things to try (trying golf, but not sure….). I also enjoy getting out to concerts (smaller venues), doing a weekend get-away, going for a drive or just exploring new surroundings. I enjoy all kinds of animals and help out friends who have an animal rescue foundation when time permits.
Physically, I am in above average shape and work to stay in shape. I hate that the site list only “Athletic” and “Average” as choices, as the interpretation of this is quite varied by people on this site (as I am finding out). I am always striving to be even better, but I am by no means at a competitive level.

Musically, my taste are more rock & roll, and blues based, but have just recently went to a rock/country concert and have been won over by a few groups that I now listen to. I prefer smaller venues that are more club-like (Slims, Fillmore, etc.) and not the mega concert venues (but will not rule them out for the right band). I find that I am enjoying some of the music that my daughters have on when they are around (Fray, O.A.R., Plain White T's, etc.) but there are others that I can do with out.

I have two wonderful daughters (12 and 16) and have them with me about 50% of the time. There is no drama in our lives (great students, socially responsible, but they are teenagers), and have no problem meeting someone who has kids.

I work as an Estimator for a company in the construction industry, and enjoy the work and interaction with the people I deal with. I do tend to work 10-hour days during the week, but have now made it a point to leave weekends and evenings open as much as possible. I have re-evaluated some priorities in my life, and realize that family, health, friends, and eventually a relationship have to be at the top of the list.
I am a pretty easy going and do not get to wound up about the small stuff, and tend to enjoy a more casual easy-going life style. That being said, I do like to dressed-up to go out on the town occasionally, and would love to take some dance classes with the right person (I am not a great dancer, but with a little bit of coaxing and lessons who knows).

I enjoy going out to dinner, as much as staying home and. A meal could be anything from food and drinks for a football game, to a gourmet candle lit dinner and a bottle of nice wine.

What I am looking for……

A woman who can accept me for me, and not think they are going to change me to what they want. At this point in our lives, I would think we are both beyond this. Someone who takes care of them self, enjoys a healthy life style, knows that it is also fun to break the rules on occasion, and who is responsible, but who has a fun/wild side when the time is right.
Do we have to have all the same interests…no, but I would like someone to have some common interests that allow us to go out and enjoy things together. Maybe I learn and enjoy some of your interests, and you mine, or we go out and do something new that becomes “ours”

It would be nice to find someone that likes to explore new places, locally initially, and if a relationship grows, I look forward to doing more travel in the future. I would like to find that person who would like to explore the world with me, maybe the off beaten path on occasion (Machu Picchu in Peru comes to mind)

Long term or dating?.....Long term would be nice, but I am not out to rush into anything, and want to get to know you first .

Although I am fairly new to this online stuff, I am looking to connect with that special someone, so I guess time will tell, but if your interested, drop me a line...

How about first meeting for coffee, lunch, or drinks to get to know each other to see what happens from there…

A first date would include an afternoon going to the coast, museum, show, or hike depending on the weather and interests, followed with a dinner (local to the activity) and good bottle of wine (or drinks). If there is a chemistry, good conversation, and mutual enjoyment then the possibilities are endless.
