I'm considered independent and upbeat. I tend to avoid negativity; I prefer to surround myself with the optimistic bunch. I was raised on a farm, but am now converted to suburbanite.

I like to be active. It's nice to head downtown to enjoy the lakefront, go see the Cubs or Sox, or drive out and do some hiking at Starved Rock. But, I also really enjoy staying in cuddled up on the couch with a movie after a nice meal.

I'm looking for someone who doesn't want to be my boss, who doesn't want to be bossed around - I'm looking for a partner in life.

A first date should provide an opportunity for a lot of conversation. It's nice to start with a relaxing drink. Then a nice slow-paced dinner at a white table cloth restaurant. Then, if things are going well, a stroll is always pleasant...
