My friends are all amazed at the energy I bring to life. My career keeps me from meeting many people that would be a comfortable 'friend' to hang out with, or get to know better. I have a friend that found someone on this site who has become very dear to him, so what the heck, it's worth a try.

While I love my career, it isn't my whole life. But apparently cooking for others is a darned good part of it. I love my time in the kitchen, whipping up fantastic and interesting meal choices. Or discovering new choices at restaurants. I grow most of my own vegetables, when our Canadian seasons allow, and my garden is my haven.

Things I'm definitely not a fan of: camping, heavy metal music, perpetually dirty fingernails, people who can't control their anger, liver and onions, people with low self-esteem.

I love laughing, but don't find degrading or juvenile humour to be particularly funny. Adam Sandler just scares me.

I'm also a weather geek. Weather websites are some of my favourites and I always know when dramatic, fabulous weather is going to strike. Sometimes think I should have studied meteorology (not that weather announcers get it right often enough for this to be a life goal).

My friends tell me I'm definitely unique - eccentric is the word most often used. I'm apparently a funny person, supportive in times of need, and a big parcel of useless tidbits of knowledge.

A first date would begin with a quiet drink in a lovely bistro, followed by a long walk while we decide where to have dinner and continue the conversation. That is assuming of course that continuing the conversation is agreeable to us both.
