You've seen me before ... I'm the guy at the intersection who waves you on to go before him. Or the guy who lets you go first at the check-out line if I've got a full shopping cart. I always try to do the right thing, even if no one is looking. I'm a great handyman and drive around with a well-stocked tool bag in my trunk. I know how to use a washing machine. And I always do the dishes, even if I cook for you.

My friends call me a 'Renaissance Man' -- someone who has an ability to appreciate, pursue and ~attempt~ to be proficient at many things. Arts, music, sports, hobbies, people, gadgets -- I find fascination everywhere.

I am energetic and cheerful, a relentless optimist. Very expressive and open with my thoughts and feelings. And I have a genuine and sincere interest in learning about others. I'm a great listener, and it seems most people have to insist that I stop asking questions so that I can talk about myself, too ... I inherited that from my mom.

I work full-time for a successful high technology firm but lead a double-life as an aspiring pop/rock songwriter (A Nice Vibe dot com) and voiceover artist. My goal is NOT to be a "rock star" but to have my music covered by established artists and/or in movies and commercials. To promote myself, I'll be releasing my first album, California Pop, on iTunes later this year. I'm also an active and nurturing dad of two "perfect" teenagers, one of which just entered UCSB in September. And I also believe in "giving back" to my community so I'm on the Board of Directors and volunteer at a Bay Area non-profit for bereaved children.

I love outdoor "fresh air" activities such as hiking, biking and what I call "hogging" (half hiking/half jogging). I enjoy the arts, outdoor concerts, theater, light opera and the symphony. And I enjoy sporting events of all kinds, especially with an ice cold beer or glass of fine California wine. I love traveling to destinations abroad, especially Italy and France ... and have yet to visit New Zealand which is high on my priority list. We can book the fly-in/fly-out dates and the hotels, but I prefer to leave daily agendas up to our whims and what the locals tell us to do and see :))

I am attracted to a woman who is excited about her life, and looks forward to 'what could be' but is also grounded enough to appreciate 'what is'. She also has a personal passion, be it creative, athletic, academic, anything that motivates and inspires her, and something that I can share.

I am seeking a long-term, family-oriented relationship with a beautiful woman that I can cuddle with well into my 100's ... oh yes, we will live that long.

A first date for me almost always involves enjoying a romantic meal together rather than just a fast beverage or chit-chat. That mysterious and complex chemistry we both share is imperative to building a long-term relationship so I want to give us BOTH a chance to sense how we feel with one another.

Our photos and how we present our profiles is an early indicator, our first phone call gives us better insight into how we interact and communicate, but our first face-to-face, eyes-to-eyes date is when it all comes together. To be honest, I'm not here just to "date". Dating for me is just a means to an end, and that "end" is a long-term committed relationship.
