PART I: ME
I'm a well-educated 44-year-old professional who values honesty, open-mindedness, laughter, and communication. My career brings me deep satisfaction, but its only one of my many pleasures. Here are a few more:

Urban Pleasures:
I enjoy fine dining, going to a pub, visiting a gallery or museum, seeing a movie, going to concerts, and admiring architecture. People excite me.

Nature Pleasures:
I love hiking in it, biking in it, canoeing in it, camping in it, or cottaging in it. Nature invigorates me.

Creative Pleasures:
I'm a creative person, but my head remains on my shoulders and my feet are still on the ground. My creative expression comes out mainly in photography, music, and writing. Creativity expresses me.

Aesthetic Pleasures:
I take deep pleasure in reading books (fiction and non-fiction), watching movies and, especially, listening to music. Music feeds me.

Intellectual Pleasures:
I enjoy exploring ideas and the issues of the day. This is especially fun with good food, fine wine, and you. Brains enchant me.

Playful Pleasures:
I thrive on intelligent wit, playful behavior, and laughter. My humour ranges from quick wit and the slightly cheeky to bad puns and jokes my daughters tell me (What did the number 0 say to the number 8?). Playfulness thrills me.

Romantic Pleasures:
I am very romantic, passionate, and tender. I love kissing, touching, holding, and sharing long and longing glances. Connection enlightens me.

Family Pleasures:
Family is very important to me, especially my two beautiful daughters. There's nothing I like more than snuggling with them on the couch watching their favourite movie for the 67th time! Family grounds me.

PART II: YOU
I am drawn to those who are active and healthy, who enjoy and seek adventure, who show and accept affection freely, and who find pleasure in intelligent, witty conversation. Having a difference of opinion is a reason to take delight in our discussion, to deepen our respect for each other, and to feed our emotional and physical connection. There’s gotta be connection!

I value those with conviction, but who respect difference and who are, like me, open to new ways of thinking about things. There’s gotta be open-mindedness!

I am attracted to those who are strong but self-aware, intelligent and witty, romantic and tender, playful and serious, and passionate and compassionate. There’s gotta be passion!

I respect those who seek a balance between independence and togetherness and who know that the two can work together. Our time apart can feed our time together and vice versa. There’s gotta be me, you, and us.

I admire those who enjoy professional goals and success, but who believe that time away from work is important to a vibrant life. There’s gotta be vibrancy!

And finally, I applaud those who made it all the way through this! There’s gotta be an end to this thing!
