I am a New Brunswicker who has been living in Ottawa for about 10 years. While Ottawa is like home, NB will always be my true home.

I have two passions, music and travel, and a bunch of other hobbies.

I try to listen to at least 2 new albums a week, but that schedule can be hard to keep. Plus have you heard some of the music out there lately? I like my ears and don't want to punish them.

I try to jam once a week with some friends. We're a cross between Wilco, Air and fingernails on a chalkboard. It works, but you'll have to take my word on that.

Attending live shows is a must and any trip I take generally includes an evening of music. I'll see any band live, but will likely make fun of the hipsters or the band if I'm not a fan.

I've travelled a fair bit, I've been through southeast Asia (Viet Nam, Cambodia, Thailand, Taiwan, the Philipines), Australia, Germany, France, Cuba and of course Canada. I can't think of any place that I don't want to visit, though there are places I don't want to visit right now (I'm looking at you Afghanistan).

BBQ season never ends at my place. Nothing like firing up the grill and throwing on a tenderloin and veggies marinated in olive oil, balsamic and garlic seasoned salt.

I blog a bit. Basically if I see that something irritates me I'll blog about it. Blogging: the 21st century's complaint department. I have a loyal following of 20 people, the exact number of friends I have.

A first date would likely be a drink at my favourite pub (need the home field advantage), 10 if the date goes well. Maybe some music that isn't played by me (that's the last date).

The spell checker is telling me I spelled favourite wrong. I didn't. If you think I did, we probably shouldn't date.
