I currently work at Nintendo of America in Redmond. The job's fun, my co-workers are great, boss is chill, money's in the bank, commute's not too bad. All around I'd say I have this part of life set pretty well for the time being. I recently moved to North Seattle from Covington a few months ago and have been seriously happy to have made that choice.

I sorta do a bit of several things. Hobbies of mine include playing music, specifically the bass, distance running, reading, writing, an occasional video game, scotch and cigars (not too often though since the stuff can be hard on the body), and learning a second language, maybe a third if time permits, Japanese and German being two languages I'm fond of. Getting out to see a movie, or just watch a couple at home when the weather turns sour. I like to travel a bit, part of why I like being in a band, I get to do a little of this on occasion.

With the time I have on this crazy ball of rock and water I'd like to see beyond the borders of the U.S. I have been to several states, but not outside of them. The U.K., Japan, Germany, and Greece are a few places I'd like to get to when possible. I want to read a few books, dine in a new restaurant at least once a year (I've heard that for every new food item you attempt to eat, you gain 75 days of life... not that I'm going to bank on that as fact, but it can make life more interesting as far as food goes, right?), and I would like to get my hands on an upright bass at some point. I love the deep warm sound they have! At some point, I've considered the idea of eventually teaching a little bit in bass playing for beginners. Something else that I'd like to get under my belt is at least one form of dancing such as swing or basic waltzing. I've also been kicking around the idea of trying out snowboarding.

I'm pretty old school about my habits. I'm the guy that'll bring a rose, pick you up off your feet when I hug you, say that wrong thing in the right way so that you'll get pissed off at me but understand the real meaning was intended to be sweet. Trust me, I absolutely LOVE the taste of my foot. It's quite yummy. If we're going out and it was my idea to do so, I will buy the meal and pay for the movie tickets. I like to cook breakfast! Oh man, nothing can get my day started unless it's a pot of coffee with an egg on an English muffin. I'm a cuddle fiend and consequently a blanket thief at times. I like to wrestle and play fight, poke fun at my own skin color and can laugh at my self in just about any light. My humor is crude at times and even pretty dark. I have a tendency to carry hypothetical situations way farther than they really needed to go. Aside from that, I have a beard that I shampoo and condition more than what my scalp requires. On the plus side... well... it's soft. Unfortunately at times I can become quite absent minded, especially if I'm working on a bass riff that's been pestering my brain and I'm trying to get it out of there.

Musical taste for me is fairly broad. I have found that my ears tend to perk when they hear songs or instrumental pieces from these genres: Classical, industrial, hard rock, progressive rock, 'nu' metal, trance, techno, ska, swing, punk, and even some of the genres such as straight rap and hip-hop can catch my attention. I'm also a lover of (the geek/nerd in me speaks) various musical compositions done for games.

Specific bands that I have liked over the years include: Nirvana, Offspring, Green Day, Garbage, One Nation Undereducated, Pain of Salvation, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Symphony X, Black Mages, NIN, Primus (my ALL time favorite!!), Stabbing Westward, Soul Coughing, Rob Dougan, Ramstein, Guano Apes, David Bowie, Duran Duran, Dope, Static X, The Beatles, The Doors, Placebo, Drowning Pool, B-52's, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Rage Against the Machine, Oysterhead, The Police, Queen, Queens of the Stone Age, Rush, Bjork, Led Zeppelin, No Doubt, Failing Winter, Karp, C-Average, System of a Down, Rush, Tool, Pink Floyd, The Vincent Black Shadow.

Something that I'm NOT looking for...

A 'Negative Nancy'. Seriously. I'm out to have a great time and a great life because as a rule we humans don't live terribly long. Toss me a message, I'll answer back and you can be rest assured that I'm certainly going to message you back in kind.

First date... well, it could be anything from coffee to beer, to a movie or just a simple stroll out in the city or maybe around one of the many lakes we have. Sex is out of the question. I don't like getting that cozy right off the bat. Believe me, I don't respond well to pressure from strangers. You'll end up with a laughing mess on your hands.
