I have an outgoing personality and enjoy meeting new people. I have one child who is a senior in high school. I love to take long walks (with or without my dog) and enjoy riding (motorcycle), reading and being with friends. I am originally from New York and I have been in Minnesota for about 25 years. I think that humor is a very important part of life (you have to think so to survive the teenage years if you have children...lol). Some may think my humor is a bit sarcastic, but come on I grew up in NY not MN...give me a break! LOL I think that you can start a relationship based on commonalities but then build from there. I think that a genuine spark is necessary to begin a relationship but that full blown chemistry sometimes has to simmer a while before it comes to a boil. You'll notice I said "sometimes" because sometimes it's there from the beginning, hopefully on both sides...LOL!

I listen to all types of music except RAP and my current music of choice is 93.7 (alternative), but I enjoy classic rock (love the 80's) and current country music.

I don't think that movies are good for a first date because it limits the opportunity to talk and get to know one another but I don't know that a meal works either (I don't talk with my mouth full, do you?). I think a walk around a lake, (hey it's MN you have 10,000 to pick from!) or a quite pub for a drink (it can be soft) would be just fine.
