"Me"

Reader's Digest version of my life...
I married, we moved to Texas and I taught second grade for seven years until we started a family; became a stay-at-home mom and prided myself as being a devoted wife. I loved being a mother and have great memories of our family life (much of it revolved around major league baseball--attended most of the home games for over 15 years).

I was active in volunteer work which led me to my current full time position in Dallas as an event director for a non-profit organization. Working in non-profit with the economic climate as it is has been very challenging. This is very gratifying when you see your efforts are successful; but I am considering going back into teaching.

I am a great cook (it is amazing what you can do with Tony’s Cajun seasoning); enjoy working in my yard; spoiling my eight year old Yorkshire terrier and the satisfaction of a warm and inviting home. My favorite news channel is Fox News—a dead give-a-way that I am a conservative.

My friends, family, and co-workers would describe me as devoted, honest, caring, genuine and passionate about causes and beliefs that are important to me. At times I can be assertive and direct (if the occasion calls for it)--yet other times I can be a bit shy. I enjoy being with friends, reading, and helping people.

I like who I am now...not my identity only as a wife of an executive.

I am proud of the time, effort and love I invested in my family and marriage--but I want to find someone that truly enjoys being with me that can be honest and trustworthy and if the relationship goes further, faithful.

I am ready to do new things with new people--not sure what those things will be yet. I keep switching the answer to the question in the profile between dating or long term relationship--for now I guess I would say it is dating and open to the possibility of it growing into a long term relationship but in the "long term".
