Well I suppose the typical things to write here would be that I'm currently finishing up a doctorate in while teaching at a couple of different universities.

Reading is a fundamental part of my life both for work and pleasure, as are nights with friends (usually playing board games or having movie nights), cooking and if I can find the time dance. People tend to think I'm rather girly when the first meet me in terms of how I dress so they're usually surprised to learn that I adore camping, backpacking, rock climbing and pretty much anything that involves water. I'm not a huge fan of traditional team sports but I do play racquetball and box occasionally. There's good bit of computer geek in me too.

I'm also a vegetarian (and admitting that may have just cut the number of people still reading this in half) although not of the kind has a problem with other people being omnivores. And I have cats (and saying that might just have lost half of those who got beyond 'vegetarian').

What I'm looking for? A man who views himself to a grown up would be nice - a person who knows what they want from life and is comfortable with who they are as a person. Being a bit quirky or eccentric is good too since I firmly believe that life is entirely more fun when you're trying to be 'normal'.
