About Me
Hi! Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my profile. I've never really done one of these things before, so I'm not sure what all you're really supposed to say here. I guess I'm "venturing" you could say. The reason I made this is because it's been so difficult finding that special someone. Obviously you're most likely here for the same reason, so it looks like we've got at least one thing in common already ;)
What I'm looking for in a girl: I guess you could say I'm looking for a girl that's interested in just being friends and maybe dating to start off. I was in a long term relationship awhile back, but I've been single for nearly two years now. And I have to say, it's somewhat refreshing, although lonely at the same time. But I'll be joining the Air Force active duty soon, so I may be traveling or deployed quite some bit for awhile. So that's another reason I'm not looking to start up something too serious because that wouldn't be at all fair to you. Unless you're a really sweet girl and are worth it, then I'd be willing to make an exception :)
I am attracted to women that can be independent and take care of themselves, however, I don't have a problem feeling needed/wanted by someone. Don't take that as I'm looking to take care of someone, but if the right person comes along, then... well, yes I'd love to take care of her. I guess what I'm trying to say is I've known girls to act SO independent, that they make you feel like you're not needed at all. And that's no fun either. So just be normal. Don't be too needy, but don't be too independent either to where you'd never need me anyway. Otherwise, we'd be wasting each others time. I'm a little old-fashioned. I like to open doors, surprise with flowers just because, pay the bills, clean the kitchen, wash your car, change your oil, mow the grass, etc. Just have the decency to show some appreciation and don't take me for granted, lol.
Hobbies: Well, I pretty much listed these above in my interests, but I love all types of racing. I'm going to be working on obtaining my private pilot's license while off duty, then attending the Air Force's flight school down the road. I love anything and everything to do with the Air Force, and will be enlisting here shortly. I enjoy playing baseball, golf, chess, poker, blackjack, helping out charities, working out, extreme sports, rock-climbing, camping, shooting, watching movies, reading, and on and on... I'm also into fast cars/motorcycles, computers, board games (my faves are Risk! and Monopoly, two classics). Hmm, I don't think I'm that great of a cook, but I can grill like nobody's business! Steaks, chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, you ask for it, I can grill it! :D Oh and who could forget having a good beer, lol...
Goals/aspirations: Well, let's see. I had moved to Charlotte last year to pursue my racing career. I originally raced open-wheel formula cars, however I switched to NASCAR later on, hence the move there to NASCAR-Country to drive stock cars. Unfortunately, due to the current economic conditions, that has been put on hold, indefinitely. So like I said, I'll be enlisting in the U.S. Air Force soon, and I just recently moved back home to Mississippi for awhile before my ship date. But once I'm in, they will pay for my school so I can get my degree. Then I'll apply for Officer Training School. If I become an officer, I'll be able to attend flight school and pursue my dream of becoming a pilot. I guess that's not a bad career path. It will at least be fun; if only I could find someone to share it with...
What makes me unique: I would say I can be quite a perfectionist at some things, and could care less with other things. It depends how much of my interest is involved in the subject. If I'm even remotely interested, which I usually am, then I strive to do my best. However, if I have no interest, then I can generally care less, lol. At least I'm being upfront and honest. That's another thing about me, I will always be honest. There's not much I need to hide. I like to think of myself as a good person too. Not that most people aren't, but I tend to go out of my way somewhat too much at times. But I definitely enjoy doing things for others whenever I can, be it a friend or not.
Music/movies/books: Okay, let's tackle music. That's pretty easy. I like just about everything. By everything, I'm talking country, rock, alternative, techno, hip-hop, rap, everything... As for movies, I can watch almost anything. Just don't subject me to too many chick-flicks, lol. I prefer action, comedies, suspense, that sort of thing. Guess I'll list a few so you'll get the gist -- Top Gun, Days of Thunder, all the Star Wars movies, 21, Happy Gilmore, Gone in Sixty Seconds, Saving Private Ryan, the new Star Trek movie, all the Bourne movies, all the Transporter movies, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Driven, Iron Man, Pay it Forward, Wanted, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, all the Bond movies, all the Tomb Raider movies, The Rock, Pulp Fiction, you get the idea. And books... I read 99% non-fiction. Not that I'm against fiction, it's just if I'm going to read (and I read a lot) I want to learn a skill or something. So I read about anything I have an interest in or would like to study whether it's investing, computers, health and fitness, chess, whatever. I do enjoy reading a John Grisham book here and there, which accounts for my 1% fiction, lol.
First Date
For a first date: Well, I can't just reveal my hand for everyone to see now can I? If I describe to you what I'd do for a first date, then you've already been on that first date with me. So why don't you message me, and we'll talk about that first date in person... ;)
P.S. Okay, okay. I will say this: I try to make it fun and interesting. Maybe take you bowling, playing pool, go to the casino, sky-diving, bungee jumping, putt-putt, paintball, laser tag, go-kart racing, shooting range, maybe even a class such as dancing or arts/crafts. Most of those may sound a little manly (well, except for that last one, lol), but seriously, girls get tired of doing the same old things all the time. I know many that love to get out of their comfort zone and try something completely new they may have never done otherwise. And I don't know many girls that go to firing ranges, sky-diving, or any other somewhat "extreme" activities. But if you're one of them, MESSAGE ME NOW! LOL... As for dinner and a movie? Save that for like the 3rd or 4th date down the road. Like girls say, "you can't get to know someone if you're sitting there in the dark and not talking". And yes, I am a very good listener ladies ;) And I promise I don't bite, so I hope to hear from ya! :)
