2 years ago I was living in Budhanilkantha, Nepal, working and playing. Helping to run an american owned offshore software developer team and training local Nepali chefs how to cook better western style dishes for the American Mission to Nepal. (yes, I can cook! Trained at the culinary academy in sf) . I was going to move to Nepal but it did not happen as my Mom took ill and I returned to help out. I'm back in my house in Oakland (115 years old) as it always needs work.

Recently drove across the country (Amherst, MA) to deliver my daughter to college (Hampshire). Two weeks later there was 7,600 miles on the car and memories of driving through 24 states.

My passions are photography and growing orchids.

Recently, while talking with a friend, we spoke about how the nature of attraction is different in our 50's than at other times in our past, and what's important has changed. It left me pondering the possibility of meeting a like-minded and like-hearted woman, and continuing along the journey of life with a partner, companion and lover.

By this time, we've been around the block more than once and have garnered enough wisdom to savor life and love.
By this time, we have loved and lost.
By this time, we have been broken and healed.
By this time, we're probably still raising kids and know the importance of family sending our kids into the wild, well prepared to cope with this gigando circus otherwise known as life.
By this time, we yearn to stand together with another and partner through the sweetness and saltiness of our days.
By this time, we don't have the time to waste on less than interesting and inspiring connections.
By this time, we have been alone in that silence but would prefer the quite noise of another.
By this time, we are awake and aware enough to recognize kindred souls.
