About Me
Basically I'm a 22 year old graduate in Human Biology at UofT, who is waiting to hear back from Canadian medical schools. I've already attended medical school in the Caribbean but was dissatisfied with the program and was doubly persuaded to leave because of ill family members back home. Two summers ago, I spent 3 months volunteering in a medical clinic that served approximately 2000 poverty stricken villagers in Central America. That's where I learned to speak Spanish. I've also been involved in cancer research at the University of Toronto (Brain tumours in particular) and I volunteer at my local church and at the Hospital For Sick Children in Toronto. Pretty busy!
My goals and aspirations have changed over time. I'm shooting for pediatric oncologist. Recently, however, I've decided to pursue a Master's degree in Public Health, because it's both something to do while waiting to get in to a Med school and because I'm thinking it'll help me when I'm a practicing oncologist to shape and augment treatment protocols for those who suffer from cancer in our province.
I'm not sure what makes me unique, I'm Italian and I think that's what makes me love food so much. Grew up in a good home, and my family is great. I have a one and a half year old dog which I rescued and brought back from Central America during my time there. I've only ever had one girlfriend, we started dating in high school and had a really long off and on type of relationship which ended only recently. I'm a go-getter type of person, I have high expectations in people, but I'm also compassionate and always willing to help.
I Love: -Hanging out and talking -Going for walks with my dog -Going to movies, restuarants, and bars with friends -Doing what I can to make a difference in people's lives -Talking and being a big buddy to kids with cancer -Lasagna (lol)
I Like: -Clubs (although recently it's become a dying fad of mine, though I still like dressing up and dancing-been a LONG time since I last went) -Teaching (I'm a tutor for sciences and math) -Travelling, seeing new things -Being funny -Shopping (haha, kind of embarrassing but whatever, I like clothes!) -Cooking -House, R&B, Pop, Reggaeton (some), Latin, Italian, and Hip-hop Music in moderation
I Dislike (this list will get longer): -Sushi (lol, friends have been trying to get me to like it for years, no success) -People who don't think my dog is cute (he's my baby, at least say hi to him) -Arrogant people who aren't willing to help others -Country, Teenie-bopper, and Rap music -401 traffic -bad drivers -Traffic caused by bad drivers!
The kind of girl I'm looking for will be smart, witty, loves to laugh, isn't too clingy, loves to care for people, and has a great smile. She'll probably be beautiful or at least a cutie.
My turnoffs are immaturity, snobs and girls who aren't down to earth and have their heads in the clouds. Anything else, just ask! I'm a very approachable person, like to chat, and pretty open so don't be shy. The only reason I won't respond is if you freak me out! Yikes, the internet is a scary place.
Sorry this was so long, thanks for your curiosity. Talk soon
First Date
I think a first date should be simple and not a tour de force. It should be long enough to get to know someone, but short enough to not make it seem like an eternity. My typical first date would involve getting food (dinner or something) followed by a walk (or else I get sleepy after I eat, haha) and then a dessert/coffee. I think that way you promote conversation and get a good chance to feel a person out.
No need to go overboard on the first date, a simple kiss goodnight is fine if the feelings are there.
