I am originally from the mountains of NC but have lived also in Wilmington and am now currently living in the Triad. I attended Western Carolina University where I was a double major and was also a sister of Alpha Xi Delta. I love that I am from the mountains and was very lucky to grow up there. I am a beginning teacher and my job is full of challenges everyday but I absolutely love the profession and love getting to know the children I teach. I have a passion for history which is why I chose to be an educator in the first place. My date would need to understand that teaching is not just a job for me, but it is a career. I love to travel to new and old places and absorb the culture, history,and the people that live there. I hope that one day I will be able to say that I have seen the world. I am kinda old-fashioned when it comes to dating. I believe in holding hands, opening doors, wining and dining, but most of all being treated like the other person would like to be treated. I feel that I am unique in the fact of how laid back I am as a person and that it takes a lot to get me stressed out. I am very outgoing and love to be around people; my friends joke that I could talk to ANYONE.I like to go out at night on the weekends with friends, grabbing drinks, and just having a genuinely good time. I am seeking someone who is open to really getting to know each other before anything serious happens but only people that are seriously seeking relationships. I have been single for a while (by choice) but am ready to commit to a relationship. I have a career started and in a date, I am seeking those same qualifications. I am pretty simple when it comes to a first date. I actually prefer to go to dinner or lunch and then do something where we can actually get to know each other; such as sporting events, concerts, outdoor activities etc.
