I recently moved back to California after 3+ years in Hawaii. I landed my dream job in Malibu last January where I work as a therapist at a residential treatment facility for eating disorders (I was also a professional photographer for 5 years). I am really enjoying my life out here. I have a challenging and interesting career, great friends, and a fun, busy lifestyle. Meeting interesting guys has been harder than I hoped. Los Angeles is very spread out, and where I live and work there are no guys in my age group. So, hello technology ;-)

I like to tell stories with images and paint pictures with words. I am occasionally inappropriate, and frequently unpredictable. I'm fiercely loyal. I find humor in almost anything. I am often the source of my own laughter. I am confident and humble. I'm a student of life. I am driven by passion. I believe in the importance of awareness. I love intensity. Judgment is a major obstacle to growth. I'm not a fan of convention. I've been described as highly independent, yet I love to be social, and value my close relationships. There are few things as meaningful or rewarding as bringing smiles and laughter to others. I like to keep things interesting. I can't remember feeling bored. I like to peel away the layers of life. I respect independent thinkers. I value authenticity. I am inspired by unmanicured beauty. life is all about finding people to laugh with, have adventures with, and soul search with... then laugh some more with.

Definitely something well planned out, with a lot of time and money invested. Something where you are committed to spending a whole day or evening together, even after the first 30 second intro when you realized that you would rather be talking to anyone else in the room than the person now intently shaking your hand. yeah, that sounds fun.

I really don't think that the first date, at least in this context, should be about showing off your creativity. I guess it would be more of a first meeting than date. Let's face it, there are few things more potentially awkward than meeting a stranger off of the internet. A casual, no pressure environment that allows for conversation and an easy exit strategy sounds nice. I can have a good time just about anywhere. It's much more about the company for me. I would rather save the interesting dates for someone that I know I will enjoy them with.
