About Me
Hi, welcome to POF, and more specifically, my page. Oh, I wasn't expecting you, let me tidy up just a bit!(pulling out 2 martini glasses) That's better. Do you mind if I slip into something more comfortable? (exits room, and in a muffled next-room-over voice) Tell me, do you like velvet? (dramatically steps back into the room) That's right, I picked up this smoking jacket at Brown Elephant. Coudn't resist. Go ahead, feel it, it's real velvet. How about some music? (Steely Dan's "My Old School" begins to play)

1st test question: Would the above scenario be a nightmare?

What else can I write--though I agree with a lot of other people here who ask "Does it really matter what I write?"

And apparently there are no women on this website who are into drama. What does that say about the arts and our culture?

I can't believe this is a free site. What's the catch? I'm waiting for the snag to appear in the fine print. (I'll never read it.) I write that because this is my second time trying online dating. First experience was fun and quite the learning process, we'll see how this one goes?

I just performed a very romantic search on this site, and the search criteria I used was strictly to find Native Americans. 4 people came up as a result. Obviously they know something we don't. Although I should know better as I am largely Yaqui Indian, yes, you've never heard of that tribe though they did get a mention on 'The Simpsons.'

I just moved from Chicago on Belmont, to Forest Park on Madison a few months ago. That's a town on the Western border of Chicago--West of the loop. Living here is not like living outside of Chicago. I'm closer to the loop than someone in Roger's Park, or Hyde Park, and I'm right off the blue line, and I love having that connection. I'm a bicycle commuter, avid reader, eater-outer (yes I made that up), and I love to be active but not for cosmetic reasons. I enjoy doodling cartoons. I enjoy slow jogs. I enjoy writing. I write music and fiction.

I don't have any kids, but I do think kids are great. I just saw "Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs" with some married friends and their kids--and I think it is hilarious as to how children will lie, even if there's no rationale to do so. My married friends and their kids arrived at my place, and their little boys had to use the bathroom. 1st boy goes in, a few moments later, comes out and I notice the lack of something: the sound of a flushing toilet. 2nd boy goes in, emerges moments later, again, no toilet flush. So I ask them: "Did you guys flush?" They're both looking up at me as they answer: "Yes." What little liars!

And later, at the movie theater, the tinier boy, who was coughing into his hand all afternoon, reached into my movie popcorn with that very hand all covered in Satan, and grabbed a handful of popcorn. All I could picture was the legion of cough bacterial viruses crawling all over my popcorn. Don't get me wrong, I still ate it, but I a did pause for a few moments to reflect on the flu I was going to have to endure. (Thankfully, I didn't catch anything.)

Let's see...what else...I'm originally from Tucson, Arizona and moved to Chicago's Lakeview in 1998. My background professionally is in mental health--which has led to my current work in fitness. I work for a large healthcare company which hired me 9 years ago to work mental health, and I'm still with that company though I transferred to a different treatment locale with a different focus--a fitness focus.

I also can't stress enough how much I love to write both music and fiction. I also love barely, dirty martinis up. And I'll eat anything that is not nailed down.
