Currently, I'm just looking for people to hang out with who have similar interests. I'm not looking to get into a serious relationship quite yet, maybe down the road when I meet the right person.

About me: I'm a Virginia transplant living in NJ for the last 5 years. I'm intelligent, well "book smart" at least, common sense is debatable! (college degree in civil engineering, an MBA, blah, blah, blah, etc, etc, etc). I am incredibly laid back and rather quiet when you first meet me. But once I get to know people I can become quite sarcastic in a fun way. I love being outdoors in the woods hiking, camping, mountain biking or just exploring. I prefer the top of a mountain over a crowded NYC street, but I can be bribed to go there if you're charismatic enough! I also love just jumping in the truck and exploring new places and things on the weekend. I guard who I am, my family values and my integrity fiercely and abhor people who lie and are fake. I prefer the "Cheers" type of bar atmosphere where you can actually talk to people you're with. I love wine. I love finding new wines and wineries to try.

I am eventually looking for an intelligent, successful woman (there are many forms of success by the way, a dollar sign is a poor indicator) with whom I can intellectually and emotionally relate to and spend time with.

There is no perfect place or time for a perfect date. It is about the moment. It could be a crappy restaurant or an expensive one. It could be great food or pretty bad. It may not be a restaurant at all, but a movie or bar or an event. You can do the best you can to plan the first date but what counts most is that initial glance at each other and the spark that is there or isn't. Both sides are so worried about making the first impression that we often forget to be ourselves, unintentionally hiding who we really are. When things don't go "as planned" is when the opportunity to see each other as we really are presents itself....its that tiny chaos that can lead to so much more if its the right person.
