I'm a dork. I love finding a concept, idea, or technology and playing around with it, to see what sorts of cool stuff you could do with it. If I could create any job to have, I would have to be a professional tinkerer or crazy disheveled inventor.

Unfortunately, the downside of that means that when it comes to music, movies, TV shows, or food, I tend to miss things entirely. That world famous band thats all over the radio? I STILL won't remember their name. That really great movie that I saw last week, about the thing, with the guy? You'll have to remind me.

This raises the question - what does grab my attention? Good question. Interesting ideas, technologies, and problems. Interesting skills and abilities that let people create or do interesting things. Opportunities to learn or expand my horizon. If I run into something like that, chances are it will rattle around in my head for days, and only go away when its replaced by something else. A by product of that is that I really like trying new things.

I guess I should tell you a little bit about what I do as well. I work as a recruiter, helping client companies find people with specialized skill sets. I spend a lot of my non-working time riding bicycles (I just started racing). Part of the reason that I'm on here is I want to get involved in more things and meet more people.

I'd probably want to go out for coffee or do something neutral at first, and then as we get to know each other see what we have in common.
