As far as skills and qualities go, I would not put horn tooting or self promotion among the ones that I have. How can anyone, yourself included, point out just how funny, smart, handsome, kind, well read and traveled, artistic, studdly, athletic, wonderfully affectionate, and clever you are without sounding cheesy. Would you ever introduce yourself to a stranger at a coffee shop and say, “Good afternoon, did you know that I once traveled around South America for a year because I read a story about a guy doing it when I was in college.”? Probably not--although I would be curious which author wrote the book. My point is, how can anyone talk about themselves without sounding too robotic and serious, or worse yet, chipper. I mean, I’m a positive guy, and I like walks on the beach as well as the next, but there are some days when even my dog gets on my nerves. Sorry, I think I’m getting off topic.

My friends and family would be a great resource for anyone wanting to know about me. The problem is that, one, they would look at me strangely if I asked them to write on my profile, and two, they would just share stories that would only serve to embarrass me. On their good days or serious and honest moments, they might tell you that I like to have a lot of fun. They could tell you something about my love for skiing and biking, or that I care deeply for others and work hard to maintain strong relationships. They may even open up and share with you how I like to go out, have a beer or two, and dance; I wish they were here.

For now, all I can say is that I am a very genuine person. I like to be around others and pride myself as a very stable person (look ma, he even has his own house). I’m interested in meeting someone with whom I can feel comfortable around while sharing my world and experiencing theirs.
