I'm currently a high school music teacher and really enjoy many elements of my job, but it's all that I do and all that I am outside of my job that really makes me a great catch ;) I'll admit I don't "work out" as regularly as I would if I had a lighter work schedule, but I definitely stay active through anything from salsa dancing and beach volleyball to walking art galleries and walking along riverwalks and the lakeshore. I live alone in Naperville with my dog, Allie. She's a huge priority in my life, so I hope you're a dog lover! She's 1.5, so still very much a puppy and still very attached to me...but just like with me, if you take the time to get to know her you'll realize just how amazing she is and come to love her :)

I'm getting licensed for a motorcycle next month and plan to get my bike next spring (finances permitting...). I also really enjoy meeting new people and picking up new hobbies. Naperville and Chicago have SO much to offer so I prefer just about anything over going to a bar...and you wouldn't catch me dead in a dance club! Why sit around in a bar when you can go to the zoo, the opera, the lakeshore, a comedy club...?

My major goals in life (other than relationship/family in the future) are primarily career-related....but that's a complicated subject, so ask me about it over coffee sometime :)

Being a musician, I have a very wide variety of taste in music - my favorite genres would have to be gospel, jazz, baroque, Middle Eastern, Asian underground, 70's r&b, and Classic country. My favorite artists/groups include Susanne Abbuehl, Diana Krall, Al Jarreau (Allie is named after him...), Skillet, J Moss, Generation J, Regina Spektor, New York Voices, and last but CERTAINLY not least, the BEATLES!!!!

Favorite Movies: American History X, Blood Diamond, Cache, The Counterfeiters, Slumdog Millionaire, Shawshank Redemption

The first date tends to depend on his interest in coming out to Naperville since this is the area I know :) If he comes out here...I'd suggest the Comedy Shrine (great improv comedy), dinner, a walk along the Naperville riverwalk, and some salsa dancing! If it's a daytime casual date...perhaps we can take Allie to the dog park for a bit then go for a bike ride... If he has more sophisticated tastes we could go to the CSO or the Lyric Opera in the city, then stroll along Navy Pier. I'm always open to new and interesting ideas that DON'T involve "grabbing a drink" unless it's coffe :)
