You might find me at the Italian Market, bookstore, local coffee shop, music venue, latest hip restuarant, hanging with my dog Penelope (Brindle/Shepherd Mix) at the dog park, one of the Ritz theatres for the latest indie or foreign film, an art opening, cooking a new recipe while sipping on some yummy red wine, or curled up reading a book I can't put down! More traveling is on the agenda...both locally and internationally. I really love being outside (especially in the fall) and I make a great hiking buddy-I don't mind challenging myself physically. All that said, I can also be a homebody...I love cooking/drinking wine with friends!

I'm originally from west Texas and moved to Philly from Austin five years ago. I miss not being able to wear my flip flops year round!

My friends say that I'm fun and fit into any social setting-I am usually laughing and love to make others laugh! Queen of sarcastic bantering and silliness...hopeful, yet realistic, down to earth...genuine...I say what I mean and I mean what I say. I try to always be respectful and honest. They also don't understand why I am still single as they think I am such a great catch :) I guess I just haven't met "The One" yet, but am still hopeful that he is out there (see above "hopeful, yet realistic" :)

Movies: Anything John Hughes, Happy go Lucky, Moulin Rouge, In the mood for love, Amorres de los Perros, With a Friend like Harry, Amelia...I love ALL movies at the Ritz.

I bought a house in an up and coming area of South Philly and have been busy turning my house into a home!!!!!! The upstairs is mostly done and have just started on the downstairs-still trying to figure out everything (flooring, paint colors, furniture).

I try to eat healthily, into walking a lot, getting back into YOGA (so awesome!), love animals, green conscious, and have friends from all walks of life. Also, I don't care what you do for a living as long as you enjoy it!

I am not perfect, but strive to be a good person and definitely feel inspired to be a better person every day! I teach inner-city kids-as crazy as they can be, they teach me so much about being a good teacher and person.

I think coffee shops are the best place for first meetings...very casual!
