I like just about everything except drugs, drama, and things with "dis" as a prefix (you know...like "dis"respect, etc). I appreciate art and nature, but am also down to earth and realistic. I appreciate things that have a clear point and a semblance of practical utility.
I like to think in abstract ways-in terms of metaphors-and logically and enjoy activities that are "creative" and fun.
I prefer to be both open-minded, yet realistic.
I am very comfortable being intimate and vulnerable within a relationship. However, I need and want emotional closeness and security. I have a big heart and am very open towards my partner. This openness includes lessons learned from my past, extending trust, believing my partner returns my feelings and devotion. Likewise, I regard my partner as my best friend and my foremost confidant. There is no hesitation discussing problems or concerns. Also, I have realistic expectations for a committed relationship. Bottom line: I believe and act on the belief that the intimacy of a relationship is sacred.
I'm actually looking for a healthy long term relationship. I accept that I'm probably not what most women want but I'm only looking for the one that is interested in me anyway. So why chase someone that's not interested. The way a women should consider me is if she feels good about herself around me. Nowdays, I need to know a little more about a woman other than she's 'hot' before I'll commit.

I'd just like to add...
I have a good personality. Very open minded and tend to be middle of the road leaning towards the left.
Although I have faults, arrogance is not one of them and I am aware of where I need help in my life.(Someone special might help to keep me on track!)

Not looking for a Drama Queen or High-Maint gal. If your personality or truthfulness is lacking then anything else won't be enough (on their own) to keep me around.

Many friends have moved since the hurricane so I am also looking for new friends along with a special "Little Lady". If anything comes of that, then great! If you're too busy with your work or too independent to need someone else, please don't write to me. I am not interested in exchanging a chain of emails or phone calls that lead nowhere... My time is valuable and it's reserved for whom will genuinely show an interest in meeting me.
