| | I feel like you can tell a lot about somebody if they write a list of their top 5 favorite books, movies, studio albums, current bands to see live, and songs of all-time. So here are my lists (in no particular order). Books: Geek Love by Katherine Dunn, Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein, Dubliners by James Joyce, A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey. Movies: Revenge of the Nerds, Annie Hall, Barton Fink, The King of Comedy, and The Breakfast Club. Studio Albums: The White Album by the Beatles, Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd, Being There by Wilco, Funeral by Arcade Fire, and the soundtrack to the Virgin Suicides. Bands: Phish, Disco Biscuits, Steely Dan, Grizzly Bear, and Phoenix. Songs: Got to Give it Up by Marvin Gaye, Rock With You by Michael Jackson, Sultans of Swing by Dire Sraits, Take On Me by A-Ha, and This Must be the Place (Naive Melody) by the Talking Heads. |
