I consider myself to be an out-going individual who loves to meet new people and see new places. I have been divorced for 30+ years but during that time I have raised r three beautiful and successful children, gone back to school, held a full-time teaching position and worked two parttime jobs at the same time. Now I am retired and enjoying being a grandmother and pursuing my hobby of cooking and some catering. I do some volunteer work as well. I sing in my church choir and love most all types of music except hard rock. I don't consider myself to be unique unless you would consider me to unique in that I am not seeking a relatonship which leads to marriage. I prefer to meet a good man with similiar interests, is family oriented, honest and intelligent, and with a good sense of humor who can become a good friend. At my age I just don't consider marriage a necessity; if a marriage happens, it does; if not, that's fine, too. As for my goals, they are simple: to be as healthy as possible, fine some fun in life, and to make a "special connection" with someone.

I absolutely hate first dates because both parties are tense and nervous about making a good impression. I think I would want to meet for lunch or coffee in a public place that is quiet enough to invite good conversation and time for becoming acquainted.
