About Me
Ok, trying out yet another dating site and see where this goes. Quite honestly I don't know why I bother looking any more after being lied to, let down, and led on numerous times. Guess I'm just a glutton for punishment.
I'm a native Texan, born and raised in Dallas, moved to Austin in 2000. A petite but curvy redhead, no kids (and don't want any), shy at first but can be wild once you get to know me.... pretty simple, easy to please, not high maintenance, and non materialistic... a jeans and t-shirt, beer and pretzel kinda girl and can have a warped and twisted sense of humor, I appreciate others who share that trait. I'm a big animal lover and volunteer at local animal shelters when I can. I believe in treating people the way I want to be treated. However, I think I can be too nice and/or caring sometimes. That has a way of back-firing and leading to a lot of hurt and disappointments. So at this point I may appear to be on guard and have a wall built up around me.
With that being said, just hoping to find someone to hang out with and/or date and see what happens (find someone that can help tear down that wall). No expectations. He should be a little on the wild side, tolerant, honest, and compassionate. I prefer a guy who shares my same lack of religious beliefs and enjoys going to live music venues and hanging at a dive bar every now and then. Tattoos ( I have a few myself) and a love for old school rods and classic cars/bikes are a plus but not necessary! I must mention that I'm really turned off by some people's total lack of concern about proper writing skills while communicating on the internet. Seriously, make SOME kind of effort when typing up a a message. Not asking for perfection, I just want to be able to understand what you write.
I listen to rockabilly, psychobilly, punkabilly, honky-tonk, western swing, old country, punk, some blues, do-wop, swing, classic oldies, etc. I love low brow art, tiki, eames era design, Elvis, browsing thrift stores, and so on.
