How in the world of power tools and chocolate-covered raisins, is one supposed to write about themself and not sound arrogant and/or self-absorbed? I'm of a mind that a close friend should write these descriptions, but I'll just have to wing it myself this time. I believe myself to be caring, trustworthy, and faithful of any friendship I develop with others. I would like to think I am a funny guy, but I can't remember a joke for the life of me. My humor is mostly words and phrases I use, which takes a little bit of time to figure out.
I do like to joke around, pull harmless pranks, and in general, enjoy goofing around and having a good laugh. I believe this is the key to life. Okay, maybe not the key to life, but it sure makes dealing with it a whole lot easier. I rarely get stressed by things, so acting like a kid seems to work.
As most everyone else seems to say, I enjoy being outdoors (but only in warm weather). I enjoy fishing and absolutely love horses, but don't have time to do much of either. I also love working with my hands, especially woodworking, which works out well with my business. It's an amazing feeling being able to build something with my hands, whether it is a building project or a simple gift for someone, and to witness the appreciation of that person for what has been done for them.

I enjoy most styles of music from big band to 80's rock, classic country and bluegrass, and reggae to southern gospel. As for movies, mainly it's comedy and westerns but will watch most any type, and prefer the older movies(pre-70's).

As for what I am seeking in a girl, I certainly have preferences as do we all, but don't limit myself to them. We all have our imperfections, and being able to know how to deal with them, should allow us to circumvent our preconceived notion of the perfect mate, since noone is perfect, and open up doors to many more possibilites. The ideal girl would be independent and be able to take care of herself, but would enjoy and allow me to take care of things for her. She would be easy-going, compassionate, not given to arguing constantly but instead talk issues out, be able to give and take a lil' joshin' regularly, and most of all be 100% faithful.

I am reserved and quiet when meeting people for the first time, so I would say anything where we could have fun and cajole one another without being too serious would be great. Maybe putt-putt golf, horseback riding or maybe go-kart racing (see above concerning acting like a kid), if it is warm outside; if it happens to be cold outside, possibly a jaunt through a mall weaving in and out of stores experiencing all the modern world in all it's splendor, plus people watching is very interesting. Or we could just wing it.
I would prefer to email or chat on the phone a few times to aid in taking that awkwardness out of the first meeting.
