There are few things in life that are better than sitting on a blanket at Wolftrap with a bottle of wine and a good friend. It's the simple things in life that make me the happiest. My musical tastes are as diverse as the company I like to keep and the philosophies I've come to adopt. You might find me listening to everything from classical to punk. This balanced, pluralistic approach pervades many areas of my life. I am silly and serious. I appreciate intellect and absurdity. I love making people think and making them laugh.

My two favorite animals are the manatee and the cheetah. If you are reading this profile and would like to know why these are my favorites feel free to ask.

I enjoy being outside hiking or playing sports. Old Rag Mountain in Virginia is my new favorite "local" hike. It is both challenging and relaxing. The view from the top is spectacular and well worth the sweat required to get there. Being alone at the top of a mountain looking out over the valley is great therapy.

I'm a firm believer in community service. Some of the best moments in my life have come while helping others. In college I was a member of Americorps and I would not trade those memories for all the money in the world. How can you attach a monetary value to building a house for someone or spending a Sunday afternoon listening to an old man with Alzheimer's retell the stories of his life. One of the best quotes I've seen is "Service is the rent we pay for living" Think of how much better the world would be if we all paid a little more rent.

At the age of 31 I am happy to say that I'm a work in progress and my best years are ahead of me. I would like to find someone who also enjoys many of the same things and is committed to their continued growth in this life. Is this you?
