I'm currently a nursing student in an accelerated program, and I'm pre-enrolled in the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program, so I've got a couple of years before I'll be finished with school, but it will be worth it. Although, I'm not as involved now as before starting school, I like to perform in operas (in the Portland Opera Chorus), and in musical theatre. I have a pretty varied taste in music. I tend to really love a certain style or artist and listen to them a lot for a season, and then sort of incorporate them into my listening of them with other styles. I like opera/classical, broadway, jazz, singer/songwriter. Right now, I've been listening to a lot of Sara Bareilles, and Ingrid Michaelson. They're both sort of singer/songwriter, but I really like their voices and their styles. My interests and qualities, when taken one at a time don't seem like much, but when viewed as a whole make me quite unique. I'm going into healthcare; I sing, dance, and act; I like to collect gemstones (when I can); I can crochet; I work out on a regular basis; I have really plain taste in foods, but high standards when it comes to singers; I'm a very approachable person (random strangers constantly ask me for directions or a light, or whatever); I have a tendency to really "see" a person for who they are pretty quickly. I guess those are some of the things that I can think of easily.

My idea of a perfect date would be to go for a walk in a park, garden, or art museum and just talk about life and comment on things that we see. Then, we would go to a play or small-scale concert, and then talk about what we liked and didn't like about the play or the music. I think that really helps to get a feel for what a person is like. I think communication is key. To me, chemistry mostly comes from similar interests, sense of humor, and similar ways of existing.
