About Me
This sounds like an interesting proposition to describe myself and my hobbies, but I think you'd rather find them out in a dialogue form. It's more fun that way and gives something to talk about, right?
I'll give some conversation starters though to pique your interest. I like sports - hockey is awesome, I enjoy watching it on TV, live (AHL has finally come to Austin - TX Stars!), or playing myself (which I enjoy quite a bit more than watching). Cars, driving (spiritedly) and exploring places, traveling and seeing things. Road trips are awesome, either long or short ones. You get to see the scenery up close and at your own pace. Up for outdoors adventures or inside entertainment. Adrenaline inducing trips or activities are great too. When the weather doesn't cooperate (rain/cold), then staying in can be awesome as well. In those cases, I love TV marathons where you get to watch a season of some show in a weekend. Grab some food, snuggle up together under a blanket, and enjoy the time spent. In short, I'm up for pretty much anything that sounds interesting or fun.
Although I have my faults (no one is perfect), I have most of my stuff together and a good head on my shoulders. I'm not up for playing high school games (unless it's a recreational dodgeball, kickball, etc. league) or participating in the drama club. If you're tired of the sleazy, drunk d-bags with lame pickup lines that are plentiful downtown and want to get to know a good person instead, let's talk and learn more about each other. Quality friends are never a bad thing.
First Date
I believe an activity/event done together is great opportunity. Watching/participating in something lets you concentrate on something else other than keeping the conversation going and trying to be all witty and cool all the time. You still get to know the person, his/her emotions and how he/she reacts to different things, and generally have a good time with plenty to talk about after the fact.
