I'm a retired correction officer (retired at 42). Currently, I work part time at Reebok corporate headquarters in Canton. I love my life and consider myself very fortunate to be able to do pretty much whatever I want on a daily basis. I have a beautiful custom motorcycle I love to ride/work on. I love to travel and anything outdoors, except for cuddling...that's probably best done indoors...unless your in a tent...then I guess outdoors is cool. I love classic rock and roll and mellow alternative music best. Although, on occassion I listen to it all. Depends on the mood. I love dogs, and have bred English Bulldogs in the past. I love to laugh and go to comedy shows quite often.

I'm at a very good point in my life. I know who I am, how to make myself happy, and get what I want out of life. I'm considered attractive and the majority of people enjoy my company. I'm a very open minded, positive person with little tolerance for negativity.

Of course we all have bad days here and there when life throws us a curve ball...but I'm a firm believer that no one should walk around with a cloud over their head the majority of the time. Life offers too much to be accomplished, and too much to be thankful for.

I'm looking for a woman who is happy, attractive, honest, supportive, and will add to my happiness (sorry if that sounds somewhat selfish, but it goes both ways...and otherwise what's the point right?!?!). While I indicated that I don't want children, I do love them. So if you have them that's great! If not, that's very cool also. Finding someone that I am physically attracted to is important to me as well.

I'm genuinely content in life...but having someone to share my good times with would make them even better. My life is great, but I miss the soft touch of a woman in my life. What's better than to curl up with someone you care about and watch some tv on a cold winter night?

What makes me unique....Hmmmm I once had a girl tell me: Your unique Rich, you-neek up on people! Not sure if that was meant as a compliment or not. Hmmmm.... What makes me unique I think is that....I'm not easily defined:

I came from very humble beginnings and have also had many dinners/meetings with a room full of the highest ranking military officers in the country. I have a limited education, but have been told by more than one person that I'm one of the most intelligent people that they've ever met (not sure I buy it...but it has been said. lol) I came from a very small home in a very small town, but have had an opportunity to travel the world. Other things that make me hard to define:

1) I'm very mature, but I love to act immature whenever I can get away with it.
2) I love to write/academics...and I can fix stuff! :)
3) I've had friends that range from toothless drunks to a respected state senator.
4) I'm a man's man, but I love to wear bling and shop for new clothes.
5) I can be ambitious as hell, and kick back for days, depending on what's needed.
6) My dad was 21 years older than my mom.
7) I've dated outside my race and religion.
8) I believe in some traditional religious views, as well as some new philosophies.
9) I love to spend money, and save money, and have a budget for both.
10) I've been a registered "independent" my entire life.
11) I can be as tough as nails, but I hate to hurt people's feelings.
12) I can appreciate the beauty of an "old standard", and blast some "arena rock".
13) You wouldn't guess it to look at me, but I'm one of the most affectionate guys I know.
14) I am the consummate professional, unless I'm goofing around.
15) I love "intellectuals", but believe everyone is intelligent in one way or another.
16) I appreciate a fine wine, a top of the line liquor, and slamming beers with friends.
17) I love luxury, and sleeping in a tent around a campfire.
18) Back in the day I was considered a "jock" who "partied"....
19) Since then, I've been in the military, law enforcement, and private security...and I'm still considered a "hippy" by some.
20) I'm a "bad boy" with self control.
21) I own a motorcycle. I don't consider myself a "bikey".
22) I love kids, and I'm great with them, but I don't want any of my own.
23) I'm a classy guy, with a blue collar background.
24) Sex is super important to me, but I can be absolutely faithful to one woman.
25) I love technology. I don't own a cell phone.

I'm not sure if I've offered you a clearer picture of who I am, or just made things more confusing for you. :)

I know this may sound typical and not very creative...but for me creative dates come later. On a first date I try to avoid movies or plays, or hanging out with friends and such as the point is to get to know each other, right? The standard coffee and lunch or dinner and drinks work best in my opinion. :)
