Hello.
I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking for on this site - I'm kind of hoping that I'll recognise it (and him) when I see it (and him).
I know that I'm looking for a companion, someone with whom to share both my time and my thoughts, but the specifics are hard to pin down.
I'm looking for someone who will make me not want to sleep because reality is better than my dreams.
I suppose there are a few things that I know I'm NOT looking for......
Someone who can't laugh at themselves (I am generally guilty of finding humour in everything, including myself, and I'd like to share that)
Someone who doesn't enjoy simple things (like sitting in a field listening to music, or watching the world go by, or finding joy in the first daffodil of Spring)
Someone who thinks that what they have is more important than what they feel (a wealth of emotion is, for me, so much more valuable than a flash car, a big house or a fat pension fund)
Someone who uses txtspk. (there's loads of room for proper words on both your profile and in messages!)
Someone who makes lists of things they dont want.....Oh dear!
I'm an independent woman, with an adult daughter, minimal baggage, and a cat called Tube.
My feet are small and my hair is big.
I don't do religion, but I do support Newcastle United.
I have a very open mind (so much so, in fact, that sometimes things fall out) about everything except narrow-mindedness.
I am increasingly wrinkly and a little grey-haired.
I don't mind games, but I do mind mind games.
I enjoy gardening, and DIY (yes - I even own power tools!)
I often spend my Summer weekends at festivals. I love to dance, and my musical tastes are wide and varied.
One of my favourite places in the world is Chesil Beach, near Weymouth. And I love it most in Winter.
I don't conform very well to what people expect of women my age, and I have no intention of trying to. Ever.

I find it very odd to correspond with someone when I have no idea what they look like - if you contact me, please have a picture so that I can check that you only have one head and less than a dozen eyes. Thanks.

I suppose a drink in a pub is the most boring and normal thing to suggest.
Probably the simple answer, though!

This woman is one in a billion... she's superb company... she has a great sense of humour...she's caring and sharing and she never fails to put a smile on my face whenever we talk or even email.  | SJS is a very good friend of mine and has been for many years. Bright, witty, kind and spontaneous are a few words that spring to mind when thinking of SJS. She's always up for good night out and is equally a fantastic shoulder to cry on. Don't be fooled by her age as she is very young at heart and has the looks and body of a 19 yr old (ok slight exageration!). She's someone I can always rely on and confide in and I can only say that about a handfull of people, so if you are considering contacting her then be sure that you are worthy of her affection! |
