I'm a Self Employed carpenter who lives in NE. Washington, but is originally from Seattle. I had to come back to Seattle because of the recession, I ran out of work back home last winter. Now I'm Working most of the time, more than anyone should have to; but I'm enjoying the opportunity to meet new people. I hope to find someone to hang out with regularly, even if it's just a "casual" relationship.

What I would actually like best, is to find my down-home country girl here in the city, as strange as that might sound. You know the one; she works on her own car, maybe rides horses or motorbikes, hikes, gardens, shoots, goes fishing and camping, Maybe a little hunting? Some street smarts are good too, as I obviously spend a lot of time here in the city, but I have a 5 yo there who hangs out with me (back home in EWA) every other weekend while I'm over here working. This is probably going to go on for at least another year...

So yeah, I'm looking for friends, dates, or a relationship. No big hurry, and I'm really pretty busy, which never helps. But aren't we all? Gotta take time to hang out a bit, right?

I drink, but I don't party hard, I'm pretty laid back with political views that cross party lines, Like to read, often and a lot, like intelligent discussions and make-believe! Interested in all kinds of things, actually. Spending time in the River, in the Woods, and in the Snow is important to me, as is regular time spent near the Firepit, under the Stars.

I have a tough time with this first date thing, I mean, you "meet" someone here and decide they're the one, and set up the perfect first date and everything before you've even met them? Come on.... I would like to just get together and have dinner, maybe take a walk, talk, and see if there's chemistry! If so, great, the romance will follow. Otherwise, we'll be friends, or not.... I'll be happy to make some new friends, I'm not in any hurry to shack up....
