I live in Norwalk and NYC-I prefer casual to fancy- both in clothes and food. I love the arts- especially classical music. Study classical piano- always wondered how good I could have been if I had made it may career: Hint; its not about talent... I love gardening, boating- power and sail- I love anything in, on or near the water. I read charts, tie knots- and had my own power boat for nearly twenty years, and survived.(recently sold!) I have a terrific dog- rescued from a public shelter. I feed the birds and have a whole ecosystem in my back yard. I plant flowers outside and grow orchids inside. I'm one of those people who nurtures everything I can get my hands on. I marvel at the birds and the flowers-nature and beauty are essential to my well being.
I waste an enormous amount of time on the computer- its where I get the news, communicate, research- I'm not sure if its a plus in my life or not.
I try to spend as much time in NYC as I can in the fall, winter and spring, and just love Connecticut in the summer.
I love to laugh- I try not to sweat the small stuff. I'm reasonably independent, but I'd like to not be so alone. I usually show up on time. I'm usually in a very good mood. I'm not very picky about fancy restaurants, fancy food, fancy clothes, or fancy hotels. I do love great pianos and beautiful boats! I love lively discussions about politics, religion and how the world works. It bothers me that each side now thinks that the other side is nuts and that discussions have become so bitter and partisan. People don't even want to Hear divergent views.
I have wonderful girl friends, great children and grandchildren- what's missing is someone to share my life with. I do have "just a feeling" that magic can still happen.

When it's warm, I love to go to the Boathouse on 79th and Riverside Park and watch the boats in the Hudson. And then go for a walk. When it's cold- someplace quiet where we can have a leisurely drink and get to know each other.
