Let's see...I'm a nurse. So it's safe for you to assume I'm an empath. I both love and hate that about myself. I've had my heart broken. It may or may not have damaged me. I'm just very well guarded is all. I have many groups of friends from all over the state. I love being around people and being social. But I equally love being by myself and staying home. I have to present myself as professional the majority of my time. I can be fun, I promise. You just might have to remind me to flip that switch sometimes. I'm stuck in between feeling old and feeling young. It's a weird place to be. But I'm managing. Life is too short to take it seriously.

I listen to all types of music. Incubus. DMB. Metallica. DCFC. Sublime. Hendrix. Floyd. Joplin. Weezer. Zeppelin. Pearl Jam. Lil Wayne. Snoop Dogg. Biggie. Jimmy Eat World. Silver Sun Pickups. Foo Fighters. AC/DC. Bob Marley. Oasis. Nirvana. RHCP. Smashing Pumpkins. etc. etc. etc.

In high school, I worked at a movie theater. I love all movies. Even the ones that really suck. Some of my favorites though, are Eternal Sunshine, Super Bad, Requiem for a Dream, Science of Sleep, Talladega Nights, Step Brothers, Young Frankenstein, Fight Club, and all of View Askew productions.

I love to read. Sometimes a book a day, when time allows. I prefer non-fiction, fantasy. Team Harry! But my career requires me to keep up with the medical community. So Nursing Journals and medical research occupies my book shelves.

Traveling is a huge dream of mine. June 2010 I am going to Costa Rica for 2 weeks as an RN with a group of high school students on a biology field trip. I'm also aiming to go to Kenya next summer with Medical Missions and volunteer.

I believe in a higher power. Assign whatever name you want to it. I don't really follow a religion, although I guess I'd classify myself as Christian. I am, however, very spiritual. I believe in astrology. Think the stars, not the horoscopes. Although they are fun.

I have tough skin. Not literally, figuratively. My humor is sarcastic in nature. If I can dish it, I can take it.
