After too many years cooped up in the academy, I am finally out in the world leading the life of adventure and danger as a freelance policy analyst! Currently, I'm working in the independent and film production industry, in particular documentaries. For those of you who know what's happening in the Canadian media recently, you know it's an exciting time! I love what I do, and I can't wait to see what happens next. Right now, I'm trying to think of a business model for the monetization of online video content. That's right, I'm going to be the next Rupert Murdoch.... well i won't be an old wrinkly conservative man.

When I'm not working, I enjoy playing with the band (we're going to start playing shows in January, hopefully), sporadic photo projects, watching documentaries and films, marvelling at the wondrous creative output of the world accessible through the internet, cooking, going to shows/art openings, hanging out with friends, and travelling (when I get the time-off). I'd love to find a woman who can share these activities with me, and share with me her interests and joys.

I'm still fairly new to Toronto. I've only lived here for 2 years after a year of living in Paris and China. I'm always up to discover more of what this city has to offer.

When it comes to music, film, tv, and art, I've got pretty eclectic tastes, but I'm always interested in discovering more stuff. I've got a liberal arts degree so I can appreciate the "high culture", but because of my years of being a punk rocker I'm mired in the deepest filth of pop culture/counter-culture.
