At the risk of sounding cliche, I'm somewhat recently single and decided to give the online thing a shot. I enjoy reading and believe that being aware of current events, politics, etc. is important. I'm a genuinely nice, honest person with a good sense of humor, have a tendency to be sarcastic and I've been told I'm feisty. I'm also independent (in a good way), responsible, open-minded, not into games and am looking for someone who feels the same. If you write in complete sentences and have a general idea of how to spell, bonus.

I've been doing photography for a few years and drawing/painting for as long as I can remember. As for music, I mostly listen to alternative/indie/whatever-they're-calling-it-now. Cat Power, Spoon, Regina Spektor, Jeff Buckley, Kate Nash, Rachel Yamagata and Tool are some favorites (if you don't know who any of these people are, look them up, they're good). I probably watch more movies than the average chick and prefer the indie genre of those as well, although I like pretty much anything; Lost in Translation, The Anniversary Party, Once, Shopgirl, comedies, cheesy 80's films. This list could go on for awhile...

Things I like: Italian food, Mexican, gyros, sushi, Japanese, good wine, ice cream, swimming in the ocean, working out, reading, affection (giving and receiving), honesty, trying new things. So, if we have some things in common feel free to message me!

As much as I like movies, a theater isn't the best place to get to know someone so I'll go with lunch and a gallery, but I'm not picky.
