I'm basically a geek, and spend most of my casual time vegging out watching sci-fi on TV or researching genetic genealogy. Both are nice diversions as I don't have much else going on right now, but it would be really nice to find someone who is attractive and intellectually engaging to hang out with and exploring other more interesting things, like traveling for instance - I'd really like to do more of that. I don't have any particular goals right now aside from working to get the mortgage paid down, but once that's done I wouldn't mind a change of scenery. I guess my big goal for next year is getting a motorbike. Or a new car, but a bike seems more fun. And it's less expensive. I usually listen to nothing, modern rock, ambient/new-age/instrumental, classical or jazz depending on the mood. Rap, hip-hop, urban, C&W, and light rock cannot die too soon.

I have no real idea what we could do for a first date, but I'm open for suggestions! It would have to be fun and interesting, but not the usual bar scene or dance club since I can't stand the crowds nor the noise.
