For years I have sought to help disparate groups find ways to communicate, collaborate and coalesce. In the process, I did not do a very good job of that in my own private life. Entirely too wrapped up in the work I was doing, I failed to notice that my own coalition, the one that should have been most important to me, was coming apart at the seams. That was more than ten years ago and I have finally found the balance I should have had then. It probably has something to do with being older, having grown children and finally understanding that not everything I did was the right thing to do all of the time. A concept that a younger me could not accede to.

Now that I am an enlightened man, I would like the opportunity to try again. I am hoping to find a woman who is hoping to find a man like me. My mother always said that there were plenty of fish in the sea. So this looks like a perfect spot to see if you will swim by.

First dates are best left to the experts, people between the ages of 16 and 25. I'd like to meet for a walk, hike, or maybe just a cup of coffee or tea and find out whether we are fascinating to one another. I think fascination is the key, without it you've just got a couple of friends having coffee.
