I enjoy serious and light hearted conversation, passion, romance, a quiet ride in the country, with a picnic along the way. I have a sense of humor and enjoy the same in my date. I am witted and enjoy being challenged by my dates wit as well.

I enjoy a quiet evening at home watching a movie and cuddling with my date.(I may even watch a chick flick, if persuaded, and it is a comedy). I don't care for horror movies. I enjoy action, comedy and my music preferences are; country, classic rock, southern rock and oldies. But will tolerate just about all music, except rap, hip hop and heavy metal.

To me, the most important thing in my life is my faith, children and grand children. But, I do have voids in my life that I need to feel. And I believe I do have something to offer the right person. My goal and aspiration is to be the best father, partner and friend I can be.

It has been an honor to me to have the oportunity to reach out and touch the lives of my children in a positive way. Hopefully I have prepared them for the lives they will live, and personalities they will encounter along the way.

I recently retired from a 30 year career with the federal government. I am proud of my service to the country and truly miss the opportunity to continue to serve.

My idea of a first date would include lots of conversation so we could get to know each other better, a lunch or dinner and maybe a walk in the park or quiet ride in the country. I love the outdoors and often will do a day trip to Skyline drive to enjoy the many fall colors, the quiet calm and occasional deer sighting. I would hope that I left such an impression that she may be looking forward to a 2nd date.
