Hi, I've been single for quite a while after a long marriage, and as the children have 'flown the nest' I feel ready to start dating again. My friends say that I have a good sense of humour, although I can be a bit shy when meeting people for the first time. I enjoy the usual things of reading, walking, socialising and watching sport, but would be happy to try out others with a special person.

It would have to be somewhere we could talk and find out about each other, so that might be over a quiet meal, a relaxing drink, or out for a walk.
