About Me
My headline got cut off, it was supposed to read "Practice random acts of kindness and senseless acts of beauty". I don't know if there is a right or wrong way what to say in a profile, but I thought I'd share a story that happened to me that I think relates.

I had driven over to Potomac Mills, as I was walking through the parking lot a woman called out to me “Miss! Miss! Would you do me a favor?” I stopped and walked towards her, it was a middle-aged/heavy-set woman standing with a cane (next to her car which was parked in a handicap spot). Pulling $2 out of her purse she asked “Would you go buy me a soda? I can’t make it to the machine myself. I need to take my arthritis pain pill and need something to wash it down with.” Wanting to help I said, “Sure, what would you like?” She answered “Diet Dr. Pepper." I could hardly believe it, what were the odds? That's my favorite soda and I already knew they never carry it in vending machines (guess it’s not popular enough) but it just so happened I had one unopened in my car that I had brought with me so I walked back over to my car and got it for her. It was even still cold. I handed it to her along with her $2. “Are you sure?” she asked. “Absolutely” I replied.

Later I was telling a friend about it and my friend said “What a coincidence." Maybe it’s just me who thinks this way, but I like to think it wasn’t just a coincidence, that it was fate she picked me out of all people to stop and ask and I just happened to have one with me. That’s kind of what brings me to try online dating, I would like to think even "a shot in the dark" like this, you never know, it could happen that you meet someone online who is an actual match. Hopefuly that doesn't give off the wrong impression about me. I'm a regular/normal, sane, down-to-earth person. I'm looking for a nice, solid, stable guy whose looking for the same things I am.

Personality: Laid back and easy going with a good sense of humor. Someone balanced like me who has a silly and playful side but is not like that all the time, also has a serious side with substance and depth too. Not too sarcastic (not "biting" sarcastic). My sense of humor is more along the lines of fun-loving quips.

Entertainment: Doesn't have to go out all the time to have fun. Is easily contented. For me it's all about having the right connection with a person.

Relational Style: able to compromise, can talk through things.

If you think we might be a match, I hope to hear from you.
