About Me
What to say, what to say ...
I like to think I'm a smart and funny person ... but I suppose everyone does about themselves. I try to keep things light hearted with appropriate (or is that inappropriate? :P) quips at the very least.
My friends have told me to say I look and act younger than am, that I have a job that pays well, money in the bank, and a hot car. I'm not sure the last point is so true ... ;-)
Overall, I'm still discovering what life has to offer. I definitely want to do more than I have up to this point; I certainly haven't travelled enough or tried enough new things.
In my spare time, I play (and usually organize/am the captain of) a lot of team sports (hockey, ball hockey, broomball, volleyball, softball, etc). I like the camaraderie and the competition they provide ... and the exercise. Besides that, I mostly socialize with friends, and try to read a good book every now then (how typical). That's not to say I don't also like the more highfalutin things in life -- a good show at Stratford is always nice (although I haven't been in way too long), and I certainly enjoy big city attractions whenever I may have the opportunity to take them in. (In lieu of such big city amenities, I'm hoping to move closer to Uptown Waterloo soon, ha!)
As far as music goes, I like stuff like Led Zeppelin, NIN, Chris Isaak, Robert Palmer (a brave choice, I know) ... but hey, I get teased about my Mary Poppins and My Fair Lady soundtracks, and I admit to having had my own Justin Timberlake CD in the car, so I'm all over the map. Mind you, recently I've been listening incessantly to the Flight of the Conchords, and The Kills has caught my attention too.
Hmmm, perhaps I should offer up some bad things ... here goes: I can sometimes partake of the vino too much (and pay for it the next day, ugh), I probably use naughty words too much, and I definitely make suggestive, innuendo ladened comments/jokes (too much?). Of course, I think these 'bad' things usually add to my charm, but others may not ...
I'm looking for a smart, funny, pretty girl ... yeah, yeah, who isn't? :) I think I'm a romantic at heart -- I enjoy nice dinners, giving flowers to that special someone, and even strolls at night with my ladyfriend ... Basically I want to find that right person with whom I can share some laughs, adventure, and fun ... and who knows what else.
And there you have it.
First Date
For a first date, it would depend on the person and what kind of interaction we had had beforehand. Presumably the date setting would be something casual -- drinks or perhaps better yet something silly like mini-put (although the weather's getting colder ... bowling?). If we hit it off then the date could be extended as we see fit. The second date can be more romantic. ;-)
