About Me
I am a recent widower who enjoys companionship and I am looking for a woman who is independent, able, capable, and confident who is also looking for occasional, regular companionship.
I work in a technology company in the financial services sector of the economy and have been with the company 26 years.
I enjoy going to the movies weekly, or watching videos at home; I play pocket billiards once a week; I enjoy a variety of different cuisines, Chinese, Japanese, French, Italian, Californian.
I like to learn about cosmology and physics although I am just an interested lay person in those discipline.
I like to talk, discuss issues of current interest and importance, and am interested in learning new things.
I am passionate about ending hunger throughout the world. I am a financial family member of the Hunger Project, based in New York.
I believe in the spiritual side of Life and the possibility that this material world is only part of the Universe.
I am looking for an able, capable, independent woman who knows herself and is passionate about life and her own interests, and who is interested in sharing those interests with a companion.
I am looking for someone who likes or would like to share movies, plays or musicals, or nights at the Symphony when we go out, and who likes to play board games like Guesstures, Party Pictionary, 25 Words or Less, Balderdash, and Finish Lines, with friends when we want to entertain others.
I am a child of old-time Rock and Roll, but I enjoy classical music, too. I listen to popular music, Sarah Brightman, Norah Jones, Dixie Chicks, Christina Aguilera, Dire Straits, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, as well as Pete Seeger, Jimmy Buffet, and Judy Collins.
First Date
A first date would start with lunch at the Cliff House, lingering over our shared dessert to talk about who I am and who you are, with a stroll down to Ocean Beach afterwards (if it is not too windy) to admire the magnificence of Nature along the California coastline. Then we toss a coin to decide what to do next, driving along Skyline Boulevard or over Mount Tamalpais to Stinson Beach, or maybe we just park at the Golden Gate Bridge and walk across it and back.
