Allright. I was re-reading my POF profile and even I was starting to yawn a bit. Maybe it's just me, but it read like a thousand other profiles. Much as I love taking girlfriends out for awesome nights on the town (which I do), or cooking an elegant French-influenced meal at home with a nice bottle of wine (which I can), or saying, "Screw It. Let's Go." and driving to New Orleans for the weekend (which I have), it sounds a bit cliche.

So, I propose a game. Below, I have described a few of my favorite things in riddles. I promise they are the usual things that almost everyone loves (movies, long walks on the beach, etc.) If you can guess them, I will buy you a drink...but only one drink. AND I would love it if you sent me a game of your own.

1) "Red and White, I grow with zest; only to be plucked and pressed. Sometimes I'm consumed right away; others set aside for a far off day. I come in box, bottle or glass; but I am always viewed with class."

2) "Young and old play me with glee; yet magicians use me for mystery. I come in four distinctive sets; and on me people place their bets."

3) "I'm raw and with rice; sometimes with spice. When I'm fresh you'll smile; when old I'm vile. It's all about fish; I'm a celebrated dish."

Given that none of us, no matter how smart or perceptive we are, will be able to glean a total image of the other person in a few dates (much less a few e-mails), we might as well have some fun along the way.

I know it's cliche, but I am a sucker for the dinner and a movie thing. That said, I'm also game for something more intriguing. Hiking, snorkeling, New Orleans Ghost tours...you name it. Just tell me if you want something "adventurous" or "casual" and I'll put my brain to work figuring out something appropriate.

As an important note: I love it when a woman tells me exactly what she wants and helps plan evenings out. I may not agree with your ideas, but I will try almost anything and I work very hard to make sure relationships are two-sided. The more we "give and take", the stronger a potential relationship will be. E-mail me and we'll do something fun.
